Vessels are for holding drinks and various liquids which are essential for life. My favorite drink is tea. So on a daily basis, I often have a cup in my hands.  But as much as I love my cuppa, I'm acutely aware that many people don't have the luxury of enjoying a favorite drink.

It's a challenge to even get a drink of clean water for many. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, as many as 2.1 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water services.

Since I love the elegant shapes of vessels and their imitation of the human figure, I choose to frequently feature them in my art, not only to show their beauty but to draw attention to the important issues related to water around the world.
