Hey friends, I’ve been invited to be part of a 4-person contemporary figurative art exhibit (All Things Being) with 3 other amazing female artists. I’m so honored and excited to exhibit my portraits in this show..
The exhibit will run from March 19 – May 7. The opening reception will coincide with an Open Studios event on Sunday, March 27 from 12-4 pm. Thus ensuring an appreciative audience for the exhibit and good attendance for the reception.

The other three artists in this contemporary figurative art show are:
Susan Clinard
Susan is a sculptor. She has been a working artist for thirty years and a fervent observer of life. Her work is an exploration of nature’s forms, distorted and perfect, found and inspired. Susan started sculpting at age 19. Following a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan, Susan moved to Chicago in 1995 where her gift for storytelling took root. Susan also taught stone carving at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and sculpture at the Palette and Chisel Academy. In 2007 Susan moved her studio to New Haven, Connecticut.

Sarah King
Sarah King is a Painter, Illustrator, and Teacher who lives and works in Stamford, Connecticut. She has an MALS in Children’s Book Illustration from Hollins University and an MFA from The New York Studio School. Her work deals with the often unspoken, and undocumented parts of motherhood in contemporary media. Her current body of work looks at her postpartum life through this lens, as she parents in the times of COVID.

Suzanna Schlemm
Suzanna Schlemm is a full-time working artist with a solid body of work. She paints from observation and is particularly interested in the relationships among women: with each other, their children, work and with themselves. Originally from Brazil, Suzanna is currently based in Darien, CT and New York City. With each painting she creates a place of safety and beauty for herself: a tribe of women that look after each other.

The Venue for “All Things Being – A Contemporary Figurative Art Exhibit”
This Contemporary Figurative art show will be on view at The Metro Art Studios gallery – Crown Gallery. The gallery showcases local, emerging, and established artists in group and solo exhibitions, as well as 2-3 juried exhibits yearly. Crown Gallery is a large commercial gallery on the first floor of a three-story renovated corset factory just south of Downtown Bridgeport, Connecticut, which is a short drive or train ride from New York City. The building also houses 34 studios for professional fine artists and has become a regional destination for art collectors, consultants, and interior designers.
“All Things Being” – Event Schedule
Moreover, the opening reception for our show – All Things Being– coincides with open studios for the artists whose studios are in the building. What is so special about that is when you make the trip to come see the exhibition, you not only see this exhibition, but you get to see the works of all the other professional artists in the building as well.

My Works in “All Things Being”
I’ve completed all new works for this show. There are four of my brand new portraits in this exhibition. They’ve never been shown anywhere before – neither in real life nor on the internet. Members always see my works first. Only members of my mailing list have seen a sneak peak of one of the pieces in the show and that’s it. So, I’m very excited for you to come see the premier of these works in this show.

I hope you’ll take the time and come see my show. It’ll be a delight to have you.
After the opening, the exhibit will be on view through May 7.
