What an awesome opening reception we had at the Zahn Gallery in Middlesex Hospital – Shoreline Medical Center. I’ve been saying for a while now that this exhibition of textile artworks – Inspired by Science- is exceptional.

But I’m biased of course since I put the exhibit together. However, the great turn out at the exhibition and the positive reviews prove that the CT members of SAQA are oh soo talented.

The one review I heard over and over again from patrons at the opening reception was this. Usually, when they see exhibitions, there are one or two strong pieces which stand out to them, but our exhibition was so good that they saw many strong pieces of art they loved.

So, yes, I’m biased but it is certainly a great exhibit and I encourage you, if you can, to go see it. I’ve posted pictures of the turn out at the opening reception on my Facebook page. You can view the awesome turnout here. The opening reception was beautifully catered with wine and some really good hor d’oeuvres. I was so busy mingling, I didn’t stop to get a bite of food, though.

I had to make a few remarks at the beginning of the opening reception. I’ve got to be honest, I was a little nervous and I stumbled a little at the beginning of that speech. But soon enough, I picked up speed and sailed through beautifully. I’m told I did great.

All the hard work to put this exhibit together paid off yesterday. We’ve still got 3 more venues to travel this exhibit. That not-withstanding, I’m pumped and ready to see this show on the road.
