Hey Creative Friend,
Let’s meet up.
I’ll be at Hartford Fine Art and Framing where I’m exhibiting in the group show – “Thread Count“. I told you about “Thread Count” a few weeks ago. It’s on view till the end of March.
Haven’t seen the show yet? This is a great opportunity to drive up and come see the show. I’d love to meet you and get connected.
I’ll be speaking on the topic: “A Brand New You: How to Effectively Create Your Personal Artist Brand Online”.

Branding is not just for large corporations. Nor is it any longer just about business cards, and flyers. It’s much more than that. There’s a whole world of online marketing that you can do for your artworks.
Not only does having an online presence help you share your work, it also helps others share your work. Sometimes, people end up sharing your work online more than you can share it all by yourself. This is why your online branding needs to be on point.
When art buyers are interested in a piece of artwork, they want to know that other people consider the work as valuable as they do. That’s why they look at the provenance – the history of ownership of a piece of art.
This is the same thing a strong online presence does for your art. When it’s being liked, shared and commented on, it gives it what is called – “social proof”.
Simply put, social proof is when we rely on the actions of others to make a decision about something we’re unsure of. For example we rely on the actions of experts, celebrity endorsements, product reviews on Amazon, recommendations from friends and family etc.
So, in short, when something has “social proof”, it has the approval of the people.
Branding yourself, gives you expert status. We assume that professionals and large organizations are the only ones who brand themselves. Branding yourself feeds into this assumptions and gives you and your artworks social proof.
Also, remember that for artists, people don’t buy your work, they buy the artist. They buy into you – the story behind the work. If you’re online and you’re telling your story, that is what will make people interested in your work.
Come meet up with me and hear me talk about how to create a “Brand New You – An Effective Artist Brand Online”. Details below.
Share this with your friends and family who’re in Connecticut or nearby areas. Tell them to let me know you sent them. 🙂
I can’t wait to see you.
Love,
