I’m happy to share this news with you. “Where Beauty Resides” is an exhibit curated by Debbie Hesse for Perspectives Gallery at Whitney Center. This exhibit is in Hamden, CT.

Five pieces of my work plus that of four other artists are included in this exhibit. The four artists are:
Eóin Burke at Where Beauty Resides
First is Eóin Burke. He is a contemporary American artist whose work is rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, focusing on mindfulness and sacredness in our lives. His sculptures are fascinating and they can be found on display in this exhibit alongside my work.

Katie Jukiewicz at Where Beauty Resides
Secondly, we have Katie Jukiewicz. Katie has 7 paintings in the exhibition. Her paintings are life-size. In the installation photo above, you’ll see some of her work on the left hand side of my piece that is titled “Amandla– The Empowered Woman”. This is how Katie describes her work. “My paintings are life size in scale – surrounding the viewer with flowers, trees, weeds, plants, and beautiful vistas from around the world.

Patty Weise
Thirdly, we have Patty Weise. She works with gouache and watercolor. Her paintings reflect a theme of containment. You’ll find interiors, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and more in her work. She writes that she enjoys the tension between spatial depth and surface pattern. Her work is installed next to Katie Jukiewicz’s work in this exhibit. In other words, they’re the first two pieces in the wide view installation photo above.

Heide Follin
Then, Heide Follin. Heide is a contemporary abstract painter. Her work is inspired by nature and she says she’s compelled to create “visual wanderings” in a contemporary way.
Opening Reception
In addition to being honored to show alongside these talented artists, we also got to enjoy an opening reception together. Then at the reception, Eóin and I gave artist talks which was each very well received. Subsequently, we had Q&A, where we got to answer so many questions and interact with the audience. It was a really nice evening. As a result, I want to thank all of you who were able to attend the opening. It wouldn’t have been successful without you.

When to See the Exhibit
In conclusion, I want you to say how proud I am of the works that I’ve got featured in this show. Moreover, my most recent piece is also included in the show. So, this is really a good chance for you to see this never before exhibited piece. Consequently, I’ll like to invite you to take some time to go see the exhibit. The works in “Where Beauty Resides” are incredible. So much talent in one space. The exhibit will be on view till September 6, 2023. Hope you can visit.
Warmly,
