Hey friend, I’ve got exciting news to share with you. The art fair – Intersect Chicago 2022- which takes place annually at the Navy Pier in Chicago is happening this year. Last year, it was canceled due to COVID. Thus, I missed the opportunity to exhibit my piece which had been selected by SAQA for their exhibition booth.

Well, I’m thrilled to say another piece of mine has been selected by SAQA for this year’s Intersect Chicago art fair. To have my work selected twice in a row is just amazing. Juror Carol Sauvion selected my piece Rhoda. I’m in the company of 31 other awesome artists who were selected for this show.

The juror, Carol Sauvion is the Creator of Craft in America, the documentary series celebrating American craft and the artists who bring it to life. The Craft in America series airs nationwide on PBS. Sauvion is the Executive Director of the non-profit organization Craft in America.
Art Fair – Intersect Chicago 2022

Intersect Chicago which is also known as SOFA (Sculptural Objects Functional Art and Design) is a really interesting art fair. It sits at the intersection of art and design. And when you come to think about it, most designers don’t only source visual art for their clients. Rather, in their design, they take a holistic approach which encompasses furniture, sculptural objects, and more.
According to their press release, this year’s SOFA 2022 will focus on concepts and themes related to underserved creators in design and textiles, and to delve into the area of upcycled design and repurposing everyday objects for aesthetic impact. It’ll be intriguing to see what the selection at Intersect Chicago 2022 will be.
This art fair will be on view at
The Navy Pier
Chicago, Illinois
November 3- 6, 2022
If you’re able to, please stop by and check out all the artworks.
