Published Artwork in New Book!!!!
Yipee!! I’m published. Two of my art pieces have been published in the book 1000 Quilt Inspirations by Sandra Sider. My artwork appears on page 90 of the book under ‘Modern Designs”. It’s a collection of artwork/quilts from many textile artists and quilters from all around the world. I knew that my work had been chosen for the book, but I wanted to wait till the book was published and had hit the shelves before sharing with you.
Well, finally, it’s here and its very exciting.
I received my copy of the book and I’m proud of how those two pieces turned out. I know I’ve not been so satisfied with my own photography. However, the photographs in the book which are ones I’d taken myself and sent to the author, do not look so bad after all. Don’t you think?
I’m still planning on taking that photography class I told you about in my last newsletter. (If you’re not receiving my newsletters then you are missing out. You should sign up to receive my newsletter for more information and sneak previews of new work before they are displayed on my website.)
I’m hoping that in this photography class, I’ll learn some new techniques for post-photography processing with software. You know, how to enhance a photo after you’re done taking it; so I wouldn’t have to take the same photos over and over again as I do now.
To see the two published art pieces which made it into the 1000 Quilt Inspiration book, go to my art gallery here and here . If you’d like to own a hard copy of the book in question, it’s also available for purchase on Amazon here.
The book is basically a photo album of various designs. Below is a photo of the book cover.
My two art pieces appear in Chapter 2 – Modern designs as shown in the image below: They are numbered 0280 and 0281.
Thanks for reading. Share your comments below about my published artwork.
