Welcome to My Studio Diary - the private musings of a textile artist during the planning and production stages of the solo art exhibition - "Drawn with Threads".
This diary is a companion to my book - "Drawn with Threads", which is available on Amazon.
In this diary, you'll hear me verbalize raw and unfiltered thoughts on some happy days, during some stressful times, early mornings while I'm still groggy from sleep, and late at night when I would've been better off in my bed sleeping.
You'll find a lot of discussion of my techniques and my planning.
The raw and characteristic emotions of the creative process; the joys and the frustrations; the rollercoaster ride of the creative journey, are all presented here for you.
Listen for yourself.

day 5 - diary entry
In this audio diary, you'll hear me talking through more of the decisions I made with regards to my artwork "Breathe" and how I managed my time so I could make the most effective use of it.
day 6 - diary entry
I recorded this audio diary on a messy day. It was snowy, icy, and rainy, all on this day. I was cooped up in my studio. I talk to myself about how my initial discussions of my community project with the library began in this diary.
day 7 - diary entry
In this audio diary, you'll hear me discussing how I get little opportunities to fix things along the way if I don't insist on plowing my way through a project. I also think aloud about my discission with the library about the community project.
day 8 - diary entry
In this audio diary, I'm tired, and my shoulders are sore from stitching. I talk to myself about how the rules for group exhibitions impact how I create. Also I chat about how my experiences from "Breathe" influenced my creation of "Eye Opener"
day 9 - diary entry
In this audio diary, I hadn't recorded for two weeks straight. I was under pressure and I could feel the weight of the project on me. I ramble on about the details of getting the work complete and the level of brain power I had at that time.
final - diary entry
This is a celebratory diary entry. The work is complete and I'm on Mount Excitement.
